Apple Pie

A classic American pie you can enjoy anywhere in the world. It eats fresh, since it's packed with fruit, and with the tricks I'm going to teach you, you'll pull off an incredible presentation.

    In a food processor, add the flour, sugar, salt, and very cold butter. Process. Add the water and keep processing.

    Turn out onto the counter and finish bringing the dough together, kneading as little as possible.

    Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about one hour.

    Cut the apples into slices and put them in a bowl, sprinkle cinnamon over the apples, and mix.

    In a skillet, add the butter and flour and melt over medium heat until it turns light or slightly toasted in color.

    Add the water and sugar, keep cooking for a few more minutes, then pour it over the apples.

    Unwrap the dough and roll it out with a rolling pin, remembering to flour underneath and on top to keep it from sticking.

    Transfer the rolled-out dough to the pan and press it in so it covers the entire bottom. (I recommend watching the video to learn the best technique)

    Fill the pies with the apples we prepared at the beginning.

    Roll out the remaining dough, cut it into strips, and use them to cover the pies.

    In a small bowl, add an egg, milk, sugar, and salt. Mix.

    Brush the pies with this mixture.

    Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35 minutes.
