Almond Milk

For an excellent vegan alternative to milk, this recipe is very easy and nutritious.

    Soak the almonds in water for 8 hours.

    Drain and place them in a blender along with the (fresh) water. Blend for several minutes.

    Separate the solids from the liquid using a cloth.

    Transfer the liquid to a bowl and add vanilla extract, salt, and a sweetener of your choice. (Optional)

    Store in a sealed jar in the refrigerator.
