Apple Cake

Butter and flour the pan we'll use for the cake (preferably one 16 to 20 cm in diameter). Store the pan in the freezer.

On a cutting board, peel the previously washed apples. Then core them and cut into small cubes. Set aside.

In a bowl, add the eggs and the sugar. Beat well until it gains volume. While beating, add the oil and keep beating for about two minutes.

Add the flour and the baking powder, preferably through a sifter. Add the salt and the milk. Beat well and use a spatula to make sure no parts are left unmixed.

Add the apple pieces. Fold them in with the spatula using gentle folding motions. Pour the batter into the pan from the freezer. Tap the pan so the mixture settles well and no air pockets remain.

Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about an hour. After that time, take it out of the oven and let it rest at room temperature for an hour. Remove from the pan.
