Carob Cookies
If you've never tried carob, you have to make these cookies — they come out really sweet, with a flavor similar to chocolate, and they're super healthy too.
Ingredients

Step by step
- 1
In a bowl, put the room-temperature butter and the sugar, and beat until you get a nice creamy texture.

- 2
Add an egg and the vanilla extract, and beat again.

- 3
Add the flour, the baking powder and the carob flour, preferably through a sieve, and combine the ingredients — with a spoon at first and with your hands at the end.

- 4
Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.

- 5
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15 minutes.
