You don't need any special machine to make this dulce de leche ice cream — just 3 or 4 easy-to-find ingredients that will save you that trip to the ice cream shop.

Transfer the dulce de leche to a piping bag.

Add warm milk to the thick dulce de leche and whisk until it's fully dissolved — you may need to warm it in the microwave so it dissolves more easily. Set aside.

In a bowl, add the well-chilled cream and whip until it gains some body.

Start adding the dissolved dulce de leche little by little while whipping.

In another bowl, layer the mixture in stages, topping each layer with the dulce de leche from the piping bag and the praline crunch.

Freeze for at least 8 hours.
