Apple Loaf Cake

Core the apples and cut them into wedges.

In a bowl, add the room-temperature butter and the sugar. Beat until you reach a creamy texture.

Add the vanilla extract, 2 eggs and rum (optional); mix again.

Add the flour and the baking powder. Beat, this time running a spatula around to scrape down the flour stuck to the sides of the bowl.

Add the apple and fold it in one last time.

Butter and flour the pan and pour in the batter.

Bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 180°C (350°F).
