Breadsticks
Spiced and nice and crunchy. Want to feel like you're at a restaurant while at home? Learn to make these breadsticks and have a 5-star bread basket on your table at all times.

Step by step

Crumble the yeast over the water and let it rest (without stirring).

In a bowl, add the flour and salt, and mix a little. Add the yeast with the water and combine everything.

Add the oil and keep mixing until combined.

Turn out onto the counter and keep kneading with your hands.

Cover the dough and let it rest for 20 to 30 minutes.

Roll out the dough with a rolling pin, always adding flour underneath and on top so it doesn't stick.

Trim the excess dough with a knife.

Moisten the entire surface of the dough with water.

Sprinkle on whatever spices you like — I'm going to use: oregano, sweet paprika, crushed red pepper and sesame seeds.

Cut the breadsticks and place them on a baking sheet.

Cover with plastic wrap and let them rest for 30 minutes.

Trim the excess dough and bake at 200°C (400°F) for about 8 minutes.
