Donut Holes

Add the sugar and room-temperature milk to a bowl, and stir.

Add pastry flour and baking soda, preferably through a sifter. Combine with a whisk or fork.

Transfer the batter to a piping bag.

Heat oil for frying and, using a knife, cut and drop little balls of batter into the oil.

Take them out of the oil and place them on paper towels.

Coat with sugar, glaze or chocolate glaze.
