Step by step
- 1
Transfer the thick dulce de leche (pastry-grade) to a piping bag. Tip: if the dulce de leche is too stiff, you can microwave it for a few seconds.

- 2
Set the Oreo cookies on a wire rack and pipe the dulce de leche on top, forming a little mound.

- 3
Then take the melting chocolate and chop it into small pieces. Microwave it in a bowl for 30 seconds and stir. Repeat the process in 10 to 15 second bursts as many times as needed (this will keep the chocolate from burning).

- 4
Place the rack over parchment paper or a baking sheet and coat the cones with the chocolate. Let the excess chocolate drip onto the sheet or the parchment paper. Let them rest for 30 minutes.

- 5
Peel the leftover chocolate off the baking sheet or parchment paper and save it for whenever you need to reuse it.
