Applesauce
A really simple recipe for the kids or a healthy one for adults, and it doesn't have to be boring! You can add a liqueur like cognac and make it way more delicious.

Peel and core the apples. Then cut them into small pieces and put them in a pot.

Place the pot with the apples over the highest heat, adding a little water to make sure it doesn't stick. Once it starts to boil, lower the heat to minimum. Let it cook for 30 minutes.

Add cinnamon while it simmers. (optional)

Transfer to a bowl and mash with a fork to break up the large pieces.

Add brown sugar and butter. Mix until combined.
