Lemon Scones
Making lemon scones is super easy, and coated in a sweet, tangy lemon glaze they come out absolutely delicious.

Step by step

Mix the lemon juice with the milk and let it sit — what we're looking for is for the milk to curdle.

Zest the lemon and add it to a bowl along with the sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix.

Add the very cold butter cut into small pieces. Beat for about 10 minutes.

Add the lemon milk from the beginning and mix until combined.

Turn out onto the counter and finish bringing it together with your hands.

Cover the counter with flour, place the dough on it, add more flour on top, and roll it out with a rolling pin.

Cut out the scones with a cutter and place them on a baking sheet.

Bake for 18 minutes at 180°C (350°F).

In a bowl with the powdered sugar, slowly add lemon juice while mixing, until you reach a nice thick consistency.

Coat our scones with this glaze.
