Pear Jam

Fill a pot with plenty of water and bring it to a boil. Submerge the jars and lids for 5 minutes. After that time, take them out of the water and let them air-dry on their own.

Peel the pears, cut off the stems and remove the seeds. Then cut them into small cubes and put them in a pot. Add the sugar and stir while still dry.

Set the pot over medium heat and stir for 10 to 15 minutes until it releases liquid. Then blend with an immersion blender or in a regular blender for one or two minutes.

Return the mixture to the pot over medium-low heat for about 30 to 40 minutes. Stir every 5 minutes.

Take the pot off the heat and pour the jam into the jars. Let it rest for an hour at room temperature before putting it in the refrigerator.
